- Hi, my name's Rich Harrington, and welcome to this course where we're going to focus on creating time-lapse movies using Adobe PhotoShop Lightroom and a companion product called LRTimelapse. In this case, we're going to focus on an all raw workflow. I'll address some of the pitfalls, as well as the major benefits of sticking with all raw files.
- As I shoot time-lapse videos in 25fps and 30fps, so I have only installed these presets in Lightroom CC. So once the presets are installed in Lightroom, click on the preset depending on the FPS that you had shot the time-lapse photos in. Now all you have to do is save the time-lapse video as per the desired video output such as 720p or 1080p.
- LRTimelapse 5 provides the most comprehensive solution for time lapse editing, keyframing, grading and rendering. No matter if on Windows or Mac, or which camera you use: LRTimelapse will take your time lapse results to the next level. Keyframe and grade timelapse sequences in an all-raw-file-based workflow, together with Lightroom Classic.

I was looking for options to create a time-lapse video in LR and found this template from the Adobe forums:
To the fast lane of time-lapse with Photoshop Lightroom | Adobe Content Corner
I installed it and loaded a bunch of photos to test the template, and I had very poor results. In one occasion it showed only the picture border flickering, on other cases the video exported was of the right (calculated) duration but no video is shown, only a black image.
Can anyone help / support / provide their experience?
Are there other free methods to create a time lapse video from a bunch of raw files?
Thanks in advance,
Umberto
Timelapse+ has released a new Lightroom plugin to ease the often laborious process of compiling time-lapse sequences.
The $49 Timelapse+ STUDIO is geared toward first timers or those looking to automate their time-lapse building. The plugin can automatically detect sequences in either your current library view or your entire Lightroom library and create collections for each. It identifies keyframes by starring them so you can locate and edit them quickly.
Once you’ve edited the keyframe, there’s a blend tool that smooths your exposure edits over the length of your time-lapse. Animation tools let you apply Ken Burns-style pans or animate brushes and gradients.
When you’re all done, STUDIO will playback the time-lapse prior to export or rendering with the ability to adjust playback speed and scrub frames. (Note; the program won’t actually render the time-lapse. You’ll need to do that in another program.)
While the software is designed around automating the time-lapse building process, you can manually tweak your creation at every step in the process.
STUDIO is compatible with Lightroom CC and 6.0 on up. It’s available now for a one-time fee of $49. You can download a 7-day free trial to kick the tires before you buy.
